Das Exploro Primo wurde entwickelt, um den GravelPlus-Standard zu erfüllen. Dies bedeutet, dass er sowohl für Rennrad-, Cyclocross- als auch Mountainbike-Reifen ausgelegt ist. Die Rennrad- und Cyclocross-Reifen haben eine Größe von 700c, während für die Mountainbike-Reifen die Größe 650b verwendet wird. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass alle diese Reifen nahezu denselben Gesamtdurchmesser aufweisen und somit eine vorhersehbare Handhabung bieten.
