The Cervelo R5 was designed for an optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio. It features Squoval chainstays & down tube, a multi-shape top tube and an oversized bottom bracket area1. This design enabled exceptional performance on the road.
Despite its long-distance riding position, the bike allowed for significant pressure on the pedal. The steering was direct and predictable and rear comfort was first class1. The stiffness values ​​were beyond reproach1, which made it very popular with cyclists.
