The Áspero-5 gravel bike takes aerodynamic efficiency into account, although some may argue that this is irrelevant for gravel bikes. Still, the 32 grams of air resistance saved in headwinds across open fields can be seen as a welcome relief. Especially in gravel races without World Tour support, it is important that the bike carries some of the load when riding against the wind all day.

Handling at high speeds is influenced by the "Trail Mixer", which allows the front wheel track to be adjusted in two positions. This is crucial for a consistent driving experience, especially with different tire sizes.

The Áspero offers generous tire clearance for tires up to 700c x 40mm or 650b x 49mm wide. Various variables such as rim width and tire casing/tread depth can affect the actual clearance. An important note emphasizes the recommendation of a 4mm clearance around the tire and wheel combination installed on the bike.
